The Episcopal Church Women

An organization that supports women’s spiritual growth, fellowship, and service through outreach, education, and community involvement.

About the Episcopal Church Women at Christ Church, Frederica

Episcopal Church Women (ECW) welcomes all Episcopal women to join, volunteer and create a legacy to lead future generations with stewardship in Christ. The ECW have long championed women’s rights, faith, and the strength of family. As a ministry of the Episcopal Church, we joyfully uphold the belief in a loving, liberating, and life-giving God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — at the heart of all we do.

Tour of Homes

Now in its 72nd year, the Annual Tour of Homes is a cherished tradition that supports women and children in need across our community. This beloved event offers residents and visitors a unique opportunity to explore beautifully appointed homes on Sea Island, generously opened by their owners for a worthy cause. All proceeds benefit a wide range of local charities—last year alone, the Tour raised over $150,000 for 30 nonprofit organizations.

Cookbook

Filled with mouth-watering recipes and a splendidly written history of the church and its island home, this elegant display-quality book is illustrated with dozens of full-page, full-color photos of beautiful cuisine as well as of the stained-glass windows at Christ Church and St. Ignatius.

All sales of our cookbooks benefit women and children in need in our local area.

The Christ Church, Frederica Episcopal Church Women (ECW) Scholarship for Women will award a $2,500 academic scholarship to a female student who is either a high school senior and has been accepted to a US college, university, or technical school; or is currently attending a college, university or technical school and is in good standing.
