Kids and Youth - our Present and our Future

God calls us to teach our children God’s love and truth. We also want to be sure all of our young people know the presence of God for themselves. Through vibrant programs for all ages, from preschool to teens, we offer opportunities for children and youth to grow in their faith, learn biblical teachings, and live out their beliefs. Our Sunday School, Youth Group, and special family events all work together to nurture our youngest members as they mature in their faith and learn to follow the way of Jesus.

0 - Kindergarden

Young Children

At Christ Church, Frederica, young children are welcomed into a nurturing environment with options like a professionally staffed nursery during worship and programming. Sunday School starts with Pre-K classes, while nursery-aged children engage in Bible stories and crafts. Special family-friendly events like All Hallows Eve, Breakfast with St. Nicholas, the Christmas Pageant, and our Easter morning Egg Hunt all serve as ways to help children experience and grow in their faith in a fun and engaging way.

1st - 5th Grade

Elementary School Kids

We provide thoughtful programs for elementary-aged children to help them explore and deepen their faith as they begin to question and understand the world around them. Sunday School classes are offered for Grades 1-2 and Grades 3-5, with lessons, crafts, activities, and snacks. Special family-friendly events like All Hallows Eve, Breakfast with St. Nicholas, the Christmas Pageant, and our Easter morning Egg Hunt all serve as ways to help children experience and grow in their faith in a fun and engaging way.

6th - 12th Grade

Teens and Students

Our EYC (Episcopal Youth Community) meets weekly on Sunday afternoons/evenings for fun, fellowship, and prayer. The group also participates in service projects, such as helping with the parish-wide food collection for the needy, and enjoys occasional day trips and special outings.

Meeting times

Our professionally staffed nursery is offered during the 9:15 am and 11:15 am service for families. It is located in the Parish Hall.

The Youth Group

Various Time // Typically the Youth Group Meets at 6pm on Sundays

Youth in 6-12th grades typically meet on Sunday evenings at 6 pm, and at various times according to the Youth Calendar.
