Worship and Spirituality

We create space to listen for the gentle whisper of the Spirit through worship, prayer, music, and contemplation. In the beauty of word and sacrament, in the stillness of prayer, and in the joy of gathering together, we open our hearts to God’s presence and discover new ways to respond to his call.

  • Five weekly worship services between Christ Church and St. Ignatius Chapel, along with a Sunday livestream that reaches hundreds near and far
  • A vibrant music ministry with three choirs, concerts, and special musical events that lift our hearts and draw us closer to God
  • Daily Evening Prayer, offering a quiet space to pause, listen, and center our hearts in God’s presence
  • The Contemplative Well at Christ Church, offering centering prayer, workshops, and opportunities to deepen our spiritual lives
  • The Labyrinth at Christ Church, providing a sacred space for prayer and reflection, with regular walks and open to the public every day

Mission and Outreach

When we listen for the Spirit’s gentle whisper, we are called beyond ourselves—to serve, to care for our neighbors, and to bring hope wherever it is needed. Through the generosity of our parishioners, Christ Church responds to that call with open hearts and willing hands, making a meaningful difference in our community and beyond.

  • Backpack Buddies provides food for 750 hungry children each week
  • Our parishioners regularly serve at Manna House, Second Harvest, the Seafarers Center, and other local ministries
  • The Christ Church ECW Tour of Homes brings our community together in generosity, supporting women and children in need throughout our community
  • When disaster strikes, Christ Church responds, sending resources, offering support, and showing up when our neighbors need us most

Through each act of service, we listen, respond, and let the Spirit move through us—bringing Christ’s love into the world around us.

Discipleship and Formation

As we listen for the Spirit’s whisper, we continue to grow in our faith and deepen our relationship with Christ. Through study, conversation, teaching, and fellowship, we are shaped throughout our lives to see the world through the eyes of Christ and to respond more faithfully to God’s call.

  • Numerous weekly study groups, including the Interpreter’s Table, Men’s Group, and Sunday classes for all ages, creating space to learn, ask questions, and grow together
  • Children and youth programs that nurture faith, build community, and help shape and mentor young minds
  • Wednesday Night programs featuring engaging speakers who invite us to learn about the world and consider how we can engage it more faithfully
  • Classes and workshops throughout the year that challenge, inform, and deepen our understanding of the Christian faith

Through every opportunity to learn and grow, we make space to listen, discern, and follow where the Spirit is leading us.

Fellowship and Pastoral Care

The Spirit’s whisper often comes through the people around us—in a kind word, a shared meal, a thoughtful gesture, or simply being present when someone needs us. Through fellowship and pastoral care, we strengthen one another, share the love of Christ, and remind each other that no one walks this journey alone.

  • Our Flower Ministry reaches dozens of parishioners each week who are unable to worship with us, carrying a reminder of our love and prayers into their homes
  • Our Angel Guild provides hundreds of meals each year to those who are ill, grieving, or experiencing a time of transition
  • Wednesday Night Suppers offer a cherished opportunity to gather around the table, share a meal, and grow together in fellowship
  • Community events like the Blessing of the Animals, All Hallows’ Eve, Opera Amore, and special lectures open our doors to our neighbors and create opportunities to share the joy of our community
