Deacon Ethan

The Rev. Ethan White

A recent graduate of Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, VA, Ethan was ordained to the transitional diaconate in April by the Rt. Rev. Frank Logue. Born and raised primarily in Savannah, Ethan was deeply formed as a young person by the life of the Episcopal Church at both the parish and diocesan levels.

After earning a B.A. in Music and History from Sewanee: The University of the South Ethan served as the Assistant for Family Ministry at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Richmond, VA, where his work focused on building programs for 6th-12th graders and their families following the pandemic. While in seminary, Ethan served at St. George’s Episcopal Church in Washington D.C., an historic African American parish in close proximity to Howard University.

In his free time, Ethan especially enjoys writing and playing music, and spending time with friends and family. He is excited to take part in the life and ministry of Christ Church and looks forward to exploring the beautiful Golden Isles region.
