Funeral Planning Workshop

“You are dust, and to dust you shall return. All of us go down to the dust; yet even at the grave we make our song: Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.” These words from the Burial Office (funeral service) remind us of our mortality. Yet, we are assured that death is not the end of our souls. We are confident that we will rise again in Glory. For this reason, the liturgy for funerals is an Easter liturgy with all its meaning found in the resurrection.

We invite you to take part in a Funeral Planning Workshop to thoughtfully plan the Easter liturgy that will one day honor your life. During the workshop, we will use a guided planning booklet to walk through prayers, scripture, and hymns. The church will keep a copy on file, offering a meaningful gift of clarity and peace to your loved ones—and ensuring the service reflects your wishes. The workshop will be held Thursday, March 5 at 2:00 PM in the Parish Hall. Please call the church office to register so we can prepare enough materials.
